LOTUS from 1980

Designed by Romuald Ferens in 1980 for a competition at the Swiss Furniture Fair. The jury was enthusiastic about the unknown, multifaceted design from Poland and the chair won the main prize.

However, Romuald Ferens was declared taboo in his home country.

The imposition of martial law in Poland meant that production never went into series production.

Today, the Lotos chair proves that design knows no boundaries.

The special thing about the LOTOS folding chair: it is a compromise between chair, deck chair and lounge chair. The wide seat impresses with the highest level of comfort, which by far exceeds that of simple chairs.

The LOTOS folding chair is therefore not a choice for the kitchen or the dining table, but can successfully replace a typical upholstered armchair thanks to its ergonomic shape.

The LOTOS is ideal for the balcony and the apartment: It can be used outside, e.g. as a foldable balcony chair, as well as inside.
